Camino Real Mexico City
October 13, 2008
I have stayed in many hotels in Mexico City and my second time in Camino Real Polanco, Mexico City. Before going to the real travel reviews let ![]()
me give you some of the hotel background.Â
The Camino Real, Polanco mixes design and architectural elements of Mexican culture.   The common areas and rooms are decorated in Mexico’s vibrant pinks, blues, yellows and natural wood that make a great combination in the décor.  If you are into architecture, you can appreciate Ricardo Legorretta’s design. I personally like it, I found it spacious and cozy at the same time, but maybe not for everyone,  at your arrival you might find the hotel lay-out a bit confusing.
What makes this hotel highlight from many other five star hote,  is the great variety of international and famous restaurants located inside the hotel. For me these restaurants make a huge complement to my stay, either if you are going for business or for pleasure, you could consider having a romantic dinner in this hotel.
Location
The hotel is located in the Polanco area, behind the Chapultepec Park, near the Tamayo and Modern Art Museums, where you want walk nearby Chic shops and gourmet restaurants.
Adress: Â Mariano Escobedo 700 Colonia Nueva Anzures, 11590 Mexico CityRooms
The first time I stayed in this hotel, the room was magnificent, it had a balcony with a view to the pool. But my last stay, unfortunately it wasn’t like my first experience, they gave me a room with a street view that doesn’t compare to the main patio, the bed was very uncomfortable, you could hear the noise from the street and the furniture was dated. I think it’s kind to find bottled water in your room specialty if it’s a high quality hotel. My recommendation is; stay in the pool side rooms which seems to best choice.
Service
All the employees have great attitude towards you, they all smile to you and seen if they can help you with something.
Hotel Restaurants
Camino Real Polanco, has many bars and international restaurants that really complement your stay. Â Here are some short restaurant reviews of a couple.
Bice - Bistro
Bice is an Italian bistro, the same restaurant as the NYC Bice Bistro - This bistro has a sophisticated look, soft light and mahogany floors. Believe it or not this Restaurant is 24 hour open, so any time you feel for having a delicious Italian cuisine, will take you 3 min from your room.

The same famous restaurant that is in New York, Las Vegas and Miami. The ambience of this restaurant is great, the upbeat, energetic ambience is complemented by modern music, cultural surroundings and a creative menu. Don’t forget to try the great martinis.
Cuisine: Asian, Chinese, International Zone: Polanco (Inside Camino Real Polanco) Phone: 5263-8888 (018009012300) Price range: $10-80 For reservations : 555-263-8887Le cirque
The whole design of Le Cirque in Mexico belongs to architect and interior designer Adam D. Tihany, creator of all Le Cirque restaurants. “Le Cirque” at Camino Real will offer the same quality and service standards as Le Cirque in New York and Las Vegas. Try the Sunday brunch, I thought it was cheap for the all the value.
